At London Professional Training College, we believe education should be accessible to everybody. As part of that, we have a range of support that’s available to you as one of our students, designed to help you overcome barriers in the way of your learning.

Laptop loan

We have a number of laptops and Chromebooks that we can loan to students for the duration of your studies. In order to be eligible for a loan, you must:

Be enrolled onto your course
Have no access to a laptop or PC at home

To apply, simply complete the below loan agreement form. If successful, you can collect your laptop from the college reception. Your loan will be renewed every eight weeks by the library staff.

Mobile wifi router

We also have mobile wifi routers that we can lend to you if you have no wifi access at home. To be eligible, you must:

Be enrolled onto your course
Have no access to wifi at home

Again, you’ll need to complete the below loan agreement form, and if successful, you can collect your device from the college reception. You must renew your loan every eight weeks by visiting the library staff.

Hardship fund

If you’re struggling with specific costs that are not covered by other forms of funding, then LPTC has a cash-limited fund which may be able to help you.

To be eligible, you must be a UK or Irish student, or one of a number of priority groups (see below) on a full-time, part-time, undergraduate or PGCE higher education course.

Priority groups include:

Students with dependents
Mature students
Disabled students
Final-year students
Students from hostels or shelters, or who are homeless
Students who have been in care or who are irreconcilably estranged from their families

You’ll need to provide evidence that you are in financial hardship, and will be able to apply after you have registered on a course at London Professional Training College.
