LPTC does not permit food and drink to be brought into an exam room with the following exceptions:

• Invigilators may bring in still water in a bottle with no labels or markings or tea/coffee/hot chocolate in a sealed keep cup with no labels or markings except a brand logo.  these may only be stored at the front of the examination room out of reach of the candidates
• Candidates may bring in still water in a transparent bottle (and lid) with no labels or markings. 
• Candidates with a diagnosed medical condition and approved access arrangement which may require access to items such as glucose supplements, sweets, juice may bring these items in a pouch clearly labelled with their names – all wrappers must have been removed.  Items must not have any strong smells.  Fizzy drinks are not permitted due to noise disturbance.  Their clearly labelled pouch must be handed to the invigilator on entry into the examination room for every exam (and collected on the way out following dismissal from the examination).  Where a candidate requires use of the items in their labelled pouch, they must raise their hand and request a rest break
• Candidates who are placed into isolation between clash examinations must bring food/drink for lunch in a bag with their hardcopy revision materials.  These items must be handed to the invigilator prior to their first exam for storage.  Candidates will collect their lunch/revision bag under supervision at the end of their first exam and be escorted to their isolation room.  Food which requires heating is not permitted as there are no available facilities for isolation candidates.  Lunch/revision bags will be removed from the candidate’s possession prior to the start of their clash examination.

It must be noted that LPTC is a nut free centre for examinations and therefore no items containing nuts or derivatives of nuts may be opened / used on centre premises.
