In order to ensure the integrity of the Examinations Process, and in line with JCQ regulations, all candidates will be formally identified before and during the exam as follows:

  • Candidates sitting exams will adhere to a smart casual dress code. Candidates will have previously supplied Photographic Identification at application stage for verification process:
  • Valid Student or Work Photo ID
  • Valid 16+ or 18+ Oyster Card
  • Full / Provisional Photocard Driving Licence
  • Valid Passport
  • Candidates will attend the centre on the date of examination 30 minutes prior to the start of the examination to ensure enough time for an in-person Photo ID check by centre staff.  Candidates will remain supervised by centre staff from point of ID check until point of dismissal from centre after the examination
  • Candidates will have exam cards placed on their desks by exam staff prior to arrival at the exam room. Photo ID will be taken into the examination room and placed on the corner of the desk for access by Invigilation staff during the examination
  • The Invigilator responsible for completing the Attendance Register will check all candidates (using the photo ID on the exam desk) during the Instructions process or within 15 minutes of the examinations starting where they are the sole invigilator.
